Session leaders
Adrian Reynolds
Adrian worked in business before leading a church in Hampshire for 9 years. He then served as one of the leaders of The Proclamation Trust before taking up his current role as Training Director for the FIEC in April 2017. He is married to Celia and they have two married daughters and one still at home. He has written a number of books on subjects as varied as sleep and sex, and is currently writing on growing in godliness for gospel workers. |
Ray Evans
Ray is married to Jenny and they have four grown-up children and seven grandchildren. After completing two degrees at Cambridge, Ray moved to Bedford in 1980 and has served in the leadership of Grace Community Church for 35 years. Ray has learnt much ‘the hard way’ and is now assisting other leaders in overcoming some of the barriers to gospel growth that are faced in today’s world. He has authored Ready, Steady, Grow (IVP) and Church Leadership (10 Publishing). |
Simon Smallwood
Simon is married to Lizzy and has 3 children Sam(20), Ailie (16) and Bea (7). Simon has been Pastor at St George's Church in Dagenham since 1996 during which time he has seen the Church thrive as it realised that many of the assumptions they had made about church and about evangelism simply didn't fit in their culture and context. He describes the last 20 years as a steep learning curve not least as the local community has changed dramatically from being predominantly white working class to being multi ethnic during the last 8 years. The same gospel, the same wonderful Lord and Saviour, but some new challenges! |
David Jackman
David is married to Heather and they have 2 children and 4 grandchildren. David served as senior minister for Above Bar Church in Southampton for 15 years before founding the Cornhill Training Course and then becoming President of the Proclamation Trust. David is now involved in speaking at conferences for preachers and in producing distance learning materials as well as expanding the collection of books and commentaries that he has authored. |
Steve Midgley
Steve is the Executive Director of Biblical Counselling UK, leads their three year Certificate Course and is a visiting lecturer in biblical counselling at Oak Hill College. He is senior minister of Christ Church, Cambridge and trained as a psychiatrist before being ordained. |
David Shaw
David is Tutor in New Testament and Greek at Oak Hill College and the Theological Adviser for the FIEC. He is the editor of Primer, a theological resource for gospel workers, and is trying to finish off a PhD in Paul's Theology. David is married to Jo, they have four children, and are members of Spicer Street Church in St Albans. |
